Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

Grandma and Grandpa came from Utah for a week to visit us! We had a lot of fun and were just glad we could spend time with them.

We went to Lake Alatoona to show them one of our favorite places to hang out during the summer and on long weekends :) Afterwards, Grammy and Papa invited us all over for dinner. She had won an homecooked Indonesian meal for 10 at a ward auction, and so she figured this was the perfect chance to use it! It was really delicious!

We spent a day in Helen, Ga which is a funny little Bavarian town in the middle of the North Georgia mountains. Ben was able to come to Helen too, which was nice because most of the rest of the things he wasn't able to come to.  In Helen, we went to an old grist mill that still runs off the river

We went to the Old Sautee Store and Market to look around the store and then have lunch

We shopped around all the fun little shops they have in the center of town and went to the vendor fair up on the hill

and we hiked to Anna Ruby falls, which was GORGEOUS!

On a different day, we once again ventured back up north and went to Amicalola falls and apple picking. Apple picking was almost a bust, we went to our favorite place Mercier only to find they didn't have upick that day! Bummer! Luckily we found another place on the way home, BJ Reece ORchards, which is actually the place we went apple picking last time. Guess we should have started there! Oh well. The shop at Mercier is always fun to look around, plus we got some lunch.

Silly girl!

We took Grandma and Grandpa on a turtle walk (of course!) to meet our little friends

We went to the international market to score some yummy things

And we took them back to Lost Corner :)

It was a great trip and I'm so glad they could come!
